Three ranges, each built for a different moment. All grown on estate vineyards around Bataji — primarily Malvazija Istarska and Teran, the two grapes that define Istrian wine.

FAKIN TERAN MICHEL

Teran Michel is a premium, aged Teran in the style of Amarone wines, featuring pronounced flavors of plum and dark fruit derived from grapes dried on the vine or on grassy surfaces. This indigenous variety has positioned Istria as a respected wine region, with Michel standing out as a unique and timeless wine in the Istrian wine portfolio.

This rich and expressive wine distinguishes itself from other Terans with a higher alcohol concentration, yet an absolute balance between 16.5% alcohol, 12 grams of residual sugar, and high freshness that ensures exceptional balance and sophistication.

Its powerful and adventurous character is the result of 12 months of maceration in amphorae and 12 months of aging in oak barrels, turning the enjoyment of this wine into an invaluable moment of pure personal pleasure.

FAKIN B&M

Fakin B&M is the fourth variation of Teran from the rich cellar of Fakin winery, with the name formed by the initials B and M, representing the first letters of the names of its creators, Bety and Marko Fakin. Teran is the most challenging red variety in Croatia with great potential, and its deep ruby-red color suits its adventurous and fearless character perfectly.

This well-balanced wine, with a full body and no dominant alcohols, is characterized by a brave aftertaste and an ideal balance of smoke and fruity aromas.

B&M originated from the 2011 harvest and is entirely natural but exceptionally rich and unique in taste. Eleven months of maceration and 12 months of aging fill it with attractive earthy and spicy aromas of high extracts.
