Vineyard Cinema – the Perfect Blend of Wine and Art

Fakin Winery has delighted wine, film, and music enthusiasts by organizing a unique event called "Vineyard Cinema" on July 10, 2021. The project brilliantly combined the art of film with premium wines in the idyllic setting of Fakin Winery, located in the beautiful town of Motovun, with a stunning view of Motovun and the Mirna River Valley.

As part of this event, a screening of the iconic music documentary "Buena Vista Social Club" was held in collaboration with Kino Istra and the Motovun Film Festival. The film was shot in Havana and brought together some of the greatest names in the history of Cuban music.

In addition to "Buena Vista Social Club," visitors enjoyed an intimate portrait of Amy Winehouse in the documentary film "Amy," directed by Asif Kapadia. The third film in the program for "Movies in the Vineyard" followed the legendary musician Leonard Cohen during his 1972 European tour. The film, "Bird on a Wire," directed by Tony Palmer, had long been considered lost, but it was discovered in a Hollywood warehouse in 2009, digitally restored, and returned to its original state.

This was an unforgettable experience for all film enthusiasts, enriched by the authentic flavors of Fakin wines, and the entire evening was hosted by Morana Zibar, a well-known television presenter and wine expert.
